Michael Lacey is a mathematician in the United States of America. He was born in September, 1959. He is currently a professor of mathematics. Michael hold a degree in mathematics from the University of Texas.
He then moved to the University of Illinois and graduated with a Ph.D. in Mathematics five years later. In his Banach spaces Thesis, he solved mathematical problems on the law of iterated logarithm of empirical characteristics.
He then focused on Ergodic theory, Probability and Harmonica Analysis studies. As a professor at the Louisiana State University, he joined hands with Walter Philips and solved the central limit theory. He was awarded a national science fellowship while working at the Indiana University. During his fellowship at the university, he focused on Bilinear Hilbert transformations. He collaborated with Christoph and Alberto Calderon in carrying out studies on the Conjecture topic and were awarded the Salem Prize. Michael Lacey is currently a professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
In 2012, he was awarded the NSF-ADVANCED mentoring award by the Georgia State University. Michael Lacey has been a speaker at numerous mathematical conferences. In 1998 he was a speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians that took place in Berlin, Germany.
